A unique place: a unique oyster

- Visit our remote sea farm tucked away off the Cranberry Isles -

Schedule your tour and we will pick you up in a high-speed outboard (1-6 people) or lobster boat with cabin (7+ people) and travel 3-miles out to “The Pool” off of Great Cranberry Island. There, we will show off our oysters from their arrival as tiny seeds and follow their growth all the way to market size. You will learn all about oysters and get an up close view of how we farm them surrounded by the beautiful backdrop of Acadia’s mountains. And of course, you’ll also get to enjoy a plate on the half-shell fresh from the ocean with our custom mignonette!

Tours are be between 1.5 to two hours long

1-3 people : $400

4-6 people : $700

Have a bigger group?

We welcome large groups for oyster farm tours as well! Please reach out to us through our contact us page to schedule for more than 6 people.

7-15 people : $1650

Things to Know:

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your tour time to account for parking and walking to the dock where the boat will pick you up.

Weather: Tours are weather dependent and operate only on the high tide. 

Clothing: Wear clothes you won’t mind getting a little dirty and possibly wet. Also, it is always colder on the water and we pull oysters and gear out of the cold Maine ocean,so please bring layers!

Bathrooms: Unfortunately, there are no bathrooms on the either of the boats. Please consider using the facilities at the Manset building adjacent to the parking lot prior to leaving for the tour.

Gratuity: Not included but always appreciated!

Oyster Tasting

During the tour, you be able to eat ½ dozen oysters on the half-shell per person. Oysters will also be available for purchase to take home. Bring a cooler/ice if you want some to travel with you.

Cancellations

You may cancel your reservation and receive a half refund up to one week prior to your scheduled tour. If you cancel within the one week period or fail to show up at boarding, you will be responsible for the full amount of the tour.

Weather related cancellations will be determined by us. If your tour is cancelled due to weather and we are unable to reschedule the trip to your satisfaction, you will receive a full refund.

Merchandise

Unfortunately, our merchandise is only available online through our website. However, if you purchase online ahead of time and choose the “Pickup On Tour”, we will package it up and have it ready for you when you arrive!
